Description: Technically Ironwood refers to any wood that is so dense it will not float in water. Desert Ironwood is such a wood that grows in the arid deserts of the American Southwest and the Sonoran desert of Mexico. It is a very dense and hard wood with natually beautiful black grain against a medium to light brown background.
